Obscure Destiny

This composition draws inspiration from the Thai poem “Klorn Dok Soi Ramphueng Noi Pa Cho,” adapted into an art song. The music plays an essential role in fueling the expression and enhancing the meaningful essence of the poem, which the composer once memorized for high school exams in his youth. The verse recounts the story of a man who wanders into a churchyard at night, lost in thoughts of lonely atmosphere and of death itself. The music imitates the haunting sounds as described, making them more vidly perceptible to the listener. This composition aspires to create a piece of art imbued with emotional depth and spiritual resonance.
บทเพลงนี้ได้หยิบนำ ‘กลอนดอกสร้อยรำพึงในป่าช้า’ มาเขียนเป็นเพลงร้องศิลป์ (Art song) ซึ่งดนตรีจะมีส่วนในการขับเคลื่อนและเสริมความหมายของบทกลอนที่ครั้งหนึ่งตัวผู้ประพันธ์เคยได้หัดท่องสอบสมัยมัธยมศึกษา โดยเนื้อหาเป็นเรื่องเกี่ยวกับชายผู้หนึ่งที่เดินเข้าไปในป่าช้าตอนกลางคืน เพ้อถึงบรรยากาศอันน่าสะพรึงกลัวและความตาย ในขณะที่ตัวดนตรีจะพรรณณาถึงเสียงอันวังเวงที่ถูกเล่าผ่านทางภาษาให้ได้ยินชัดมากขึ้น เพื่อให้เกิดความซาบซึ้งในบทกวี และให้ผลงานชิ้นนี้เป็นศิลปะที่เปี่ยมไปด้วยความจรรโลงใจ
