เพ็ญเด็กสาววัย 18 ปี อาศัยอยู่กับพ่อที่กรุงเทพฯ แต่ต้องกลับมาใช้ชีวิตในบ้านเกิดตัวเองที่จังหวัดบึงกาฬ หลังจากได้รับรู้ข่าวการเสียชีวิตของแม่ตนเองที่จมน้ำตายในแม่น้ำโขง เวลาผ่านไปหลายวัน ยังไม่มีเจ้าหน้าที่คนใดหาศพแม่ของเธอเจอ ด้วยความเชื่อในอดีต ที่บอกว่าแก่งอาฮงเคยเป็นสถานที่ที่ศพจะสามารถไหลไปอยู่ติดที่นั้นมากที่สุด ทำให้เพ็ญอยากไปที่นั้น แม้ในทางกลับกันชาวบ้านและญาติคนเดียวอย่างน้าชายของเธอจะไม่เห็นด้วยก็ตาม
“Phen”, an 18-year-old girl wants to find her mother’s body by going to Ahong rapids where the locals believe that most of corpses always drift and end up there, but nobody dares to take her there at all except a stranger officer.
