แนวความคิด

ความน่ารักที่แลกมาด้วยความโหดร้าย การที่มนุษย์ดัดแปลงพันธุกรรมของสัตว์เพื่อสนองความต้องการของตนเองโดยตัดฟังก์ชันที่จำเป็นต่อสิ่งมีชีวิตนั้นออกไป ซึ่งส่งผลต่อสิ่งมีชีวิตนั้นโดยตรง การที่มีวิวัฒนาการผิดธรรมชาติ เช่น สุนัขพันธุ์ปั๊กที่ถูกการผสมสายพันธุ์ให้มีขนาดเล็กและหน้าสั้นลง เพื่อให้มนุษย์ซื้อขายได้ในราคาแพง ทำให้ปั๊กหายใจได้ลำบาก และมีความดันสูงขึ้นเนื่องจากลำตัวที่มีขนาดเล็กลง ข้าพเจ้าจึงออกแบบตัวละครหมาปั๊กจากจินตนาการว่าหากมันสามารถวิวัฒนาการตนเองโดยอยู่ในจุดที่เท่าเทียมหรือเหนือกว่ามนุษย์จะเป็นอย่างไร

Concept

The loveliness that springs from cruelty. Humans genetically modify animals to satisfy their own needs by cutting off some functions necessary for the animals’ lives. This adversely affects the unnaturally evolved living organisms. Pugs, for example, have been bred to have a squashed face and stockier build for humans to achieve a desired financial outcome. Due to this smaller build, the dogs experience breathing difficulties and hypertension. All this urged me to design a pug character based on my own imagination, constructing a scenario when the dog could evolve into a being equal or even superior to humans!
